Landlords Letting Guide - Types Of Property Suitable For Letting

Almost all types of property are suitable for letting, provided that they are in good condition and well presented.

If you are looking to buy a property to specifically let, try to find one that:

  • Is close to communications and amenities, especially motorways, railway stations, schools, shops, bars and restaurants
  • Is low maintenance, newer properties are obviously easier to maintain than older properties, but also consider garden maintenance and the build quality of the property
  • Has parking or parking facilities conveniently nearby
  • Is in a reputable area, or one suited to your rental income expectations
  • Is clean, well cared for and that you could personally feel comfortable living in
